We would not be able to operate without our volunteers and the community's donations. Check out the new foodsense flyer. We continue to be here for you and if you have a need reach out to us. We will do our best to assist. Meanwhile our hearts and thoughts are with families that have lost loved ones. Holidays and special occasions are always the hardest. Please feel free to reach out. THE MISSION STATEMENT OF
THE KARING KITCHEN
A Mission of the Oneida Area Council of Churches
If a brother or sister is naked and lacks daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and eat your fill’, and yet you do not supply their bodily needs, what is the good of that? So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.
James 2:15-17
Inspired by Jesus’ imperative to serve our neighbor with God’s love and compassion, Karing Kitchen strives to be a starting point to positive change in the lives of the people it serves by addressing the needs by providing not only food, but also an environment of care, love, support, and safety to those regardless of age, race, gender, residency, or any other restricting factor who come through our doors. Through our commitment of combating hunger, we provide the advocacy, support and respect guests need to become self-sufficient and regain hope for the future. We exist to respond to the directives of Jesus to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and to love our neighbors as ourselves.

Volunteers from numerous Churches, Youth Groups, and other Civic Organizations help serve lunch, from 11:30am-1pm, with a coffee hour at 10:30am at this local based soup kitchen. Every day of the last full working week of each month a hot lunch is served to members of the community at no cost. Take outs are available as well. Karing Kitchen, however, is not just a lunch. At Karing Kitchen we offer an environment where anyone can come as they are and feel comfortable, have someone to talk to, a shoulder to cry on, and someone who cares for them. Karing Kitchen is about "providing a nutritous hot meal, ensuring food security and advocating for a person's rights and responsibilities." says Coordinator Melissa King.
