Happening around us
Karing Kitchen is hosting a gently used toy distribution for the community at large December 18 and we are currently taking donations for that event. We try to collect games, books, toys, trinkets, Christmas decor, ornaments and other trivial stuff (including those new but used items-tears/openings/squashed packaging of new items). The goal of this event is to enable families that would not be eligible for new toy distribution (grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, parents with older children) to find something to give to their loved ones while encouraging a message of paying it forward. We ask for any school donations to be received Monday December 11 by end of school day to be included in this year's annual event.
Please be aware that primarily in the past, the majority of families that attend the event are from the Oneida City School district, VVS school district and Canastota school district. However, no one will be turned away from the event as we try to reach all those in need, regardless of their circumstances.
This event is open to all families regardless of what Christmas program they may be signed up for!
